Description
High impact-modified acrylic Sheeting.
Acrylic high impact modified is an excellent choice where increased resistance to blows and impact is necessary.
Product uses.
Secondary glazing, Greenhouse panels, Shed Windows, Shop displays, Product displays, Promotional signs with direct printing and Store fixtures.
How is it made?
The Clear Impact modified acrylic manufactured by adding elastomers to the substrate before the extrusion process.
So elastomers make the acrylic sheet more impact resistant. However, this does affect reducing the surface hardness and the clarity of the sheet slightly.
Key Features:
Highly impact resistant, therefore, seven times stronger than standard acrylic and 70 times stronger than glass.
Good optical clarity, robust and durable.
Supplied with protective film on both sides, highly transparent light transmission of 92% and Weather-resistant.
Temperature range of high impact?
Thermoforming temperature range is 270 degrees Fahrenheit to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Heat Resistance, so impact acrylic also keeps its shape up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
Can you machine it?
You can machine Acrylic high impact modified on a CNC router or laser cut; you can fabricate a variety of products.
If you also require optional cutting to plan or printing, GJ Plastics have highly trained technical staff who are happy to help you.
