Light transmission does not pass through Black Perspex Cut Plastics Sheet, if you place an object behind the material you would not see a shadow.

Perspex cast acrylic made in the UK since 1933 and trademarked in 1934.

The Black acrylic sheet high gloss smooth finish on both sides has an easy-peel film for protection.

Black Perspex is a versatile material it can be laser cut, CNC routed, drilled, polished, thermoformed and heat bent.

Available in 3mm & 5mm thickness.

Please note all Black Perspex sheet cut sizes have a tolerance of +/- 1mm of the size.

Cleaning Black Perspex cut plastics.

This is a question we often get asked.

Two methods are available, you can use warm water and a small amount of washing up liquid and a clean soft cloth.

Alternatively, you can buy Vuplex acrylic cleaner which cleans and polishes your Perspex Sheet.

How is Cast Perspex Made?

Cast Perspex is produced by pouring monomer between to sheets of a glass mould.

You then let it rest for several hours until it is semi-solid and you can then be remove from the glass mould.

The plastic sheet is then sent to an oven to be refined this can often take half a day.
